Il Palatino
By far and away the main reason we chose this venue is the outstanding location. From the main terrace you can see across the Livatho region out to sea and neighboring Zakynthos . To the left you can see the pretty Lourdas harbor and of course only 50 metres to your right is the impressive and historical Agios Georgos castle. I need not therefore mention your photo opportunities here. A perfect choice for couples and groups preferring a more cultural location. This Venue has 2 large terraces so any size group can have a private area, traditional Greek entertainment works well in this venue and there is plenty of space for dancing. Suitable for up to 100 guests with an internal and external area.
Gentilini Winery & Retreat Cephalonia Concierge is very proud to announce co operation with a very sophisticated brand, “Gentilini” wines are producing probably the best wines in Greece including of course their own take on Robolla, and being recognised for this throughout the world. The vineyards, brand and the actual winery estate were developed by Spiros Cosmetatos who having spent time near the great vineyards in South Africa decided to develop a world class home grown wine in his native Kefalonia see www.gentilini.gr for a further insight into the history. Cephalonia Concierges interest in this winery is as a venue, set in the hillside of Minies with its ever present vineyard, overlooking the bays of nearby Lassi. This winery makes a charming yet sophisticated venue for any occasion especially weddings. For any special occasion or group event we can organise tasting of this fabulous wine accompanied by local cheeses or indeed a small banquet. The natural environment of this location allows for an immediate feel good ambience and works perfectly for our corporate clients. Weddings here are as robust with romance as the grapes are with flavour. Ceremonies can be held under the peaceful shaded pergola area and can be followed by a selection of Gentilinis famed wines with canapés. Guests may also prefer to utilise this wonderful private location for their actual reception which can take the form of Greek style buffet or a gourmet table served dinner amongst the vines as the sun goes down. Gentilini Retreat The Gentilini estate has been in the Cosmetatos family since 1780 and is the oldest estate on Cephalonia. Housed within the estate is the Gentilini Retreat, once again the vision of Spiros Cosmetatos. The location of the Gentilini retreat is in the heart of the island with the dramatic St Georges fortress in the near background, only a 10 min walk away. The Retreat comprises 2 separate farm buildings converted into 6 spacious rooms. Each room is in keeping with the authenticity of the estate and most furnishings are antique. The large swimming pool is set away from the rooms where the quiet stroll allows one to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the nature. The pool area itself is provided with natural shade from the ever present Olive trees. This Retreat is highly recommended as a wonderful Honeymoon escape, or even as a venue to hold the actual event. The sheer beauty of the estate is perfect for a wedding ceremony and the grand yet traditional poolside terraces allow for a magical reception. For any occasion events our group must book all 6 rooms which when seen you will wish there were more. Special rates apply for our guests who utilise the Gentilini winery as a ceremony/reception venue.
