Ceremonies & Receptions

Cepahlonia Concierge can organise many different styles of Kefalonia Wedding ceremony. The most common is civil Ceremony including or followed by our own tailor made vow service for you. We also organise both Roman Catholic and Greek Orthodox ceremonies. Tell us your exact ceremony requirements and we will implement an unforgettable and Romantic ceremony.

Civil Ceremony venues

For Weddings in Kefalonia most couples will need to conduct their ceremony in one of the legal buidlings as listed below. However as long as paperwork is signed on the morning of the wedding you are free to choose a fabulous location for your actual Vows and Blessing.

Argostoli Theatre

The Theatre is situated in the heart of the capital. Weddings are conducted here by the Mayor or Vice Mayor every Tuesday and Thursday between 12:00 and 14:00.

Keramies (In Livatho region)

The Vice Mayor’s office will be used for smaller parties and the Theatre of Likiadapolou for larger parties. Weddings can be conducted at either venue any weekday between 11:00 and 14:00

Fiscardo

Emelisse Hotel Chapel (Pictured above as main header)

The Emelisse Hotel has a beautiful yet discreet private chapel where all civil and Orthodox Marriages can be held, this chapel and general venue provides ideal photo opportunities. Weddings can take place at any time based on the local Mayors discretion.

Old School

The quaint village of Antipata houses the Old School, marriages can take place any week day between 12:00 and 14:00. Proximity very close for all reception venues and harbor.

Private Villa or specific Location

You can have your wedding ceremony at any location on the island, however please note that it is only legal if you have the legal documents signed at your nearest town hall before the ceremony thus being officially married before the external ceremony. The external ceremony will be performed outside by a wedding celebrant.

Religious Ceremonys

The same documents apply for a religious ceremony as well as a civil ceremony. With the added provision of your appropriate baptism certificate and for catholic ceremonies you must also provide a certificate of your confirmation. Again for non Greek couples all must be translated. Documentation and Bureaucracy will be handled by Cephalonia Concierge as above.

Orthodox

There are many unbelievably beautiful churches on Cephalonia and depending on your preferred location we will help you to choose the church most suitable for you. Our Greek couples will most probably have a Cephalonian connection as the reason behind choosing the island and therefore have a specific church in mind,if you are not resident on the island we can liaise with the church for you. Other Couples deciding on an Orthodox marriage may have both or one of the couple as Orthodox, please note that if one of the couples does mot speak Greek we can provide an English speaking Priest. Also the person who is not of Orthodox faith must provide a baptism certificate proving Christianity.

Catholic

The Charming St Nicholas Church in central Argostoli is the location for all Catholic ceremonies
Cathloic services are held at St Nicholas Church on the Lithostroto in central Argostoli. They can accommodate any time Mon-Sat

Reception

For a reception solution please browse our Venue section, each Venue has something different to offer, it can be said that we have covered most styles of setting from International contemporary to traditional Greek style. Different venues will be appropriate depending on personal factors. Deciding the venue is the first stage, and then the exciting part is to decide on themes. Your own ideas and specific wishes are our starting point to create a tailor made solution for you.

We will liaise with our specialised chef‘s and sommeliers to create the perfect menu, not to mention have your own exclusive cake designed for you. We can also enlist the help of our professional décor stylist for a more intricate theme. Based on your colour and theme preference our florist will provide the perfect bouquets, corsage, boutonnière, ceremony décor, venue and table arrangements.

All of our Ceremony Venues can be decorated by our own team ,however some of our  hotelsl do offer a suitably high standard decor service as part of their standard package, if you want an enhancement or something bespoke added to this package we can converse our designs to their in house wedding stylist.

We will co ordinate the staff at your venue to serve you exactly how you would like to be and provide the necessary timing allowed for toasts and speeches. A master of toasts can also be arranged.

With regards to Entertainment we offer a superb range of local solutions, from traditional Greek music to modern Dj’s and jazz, and thetrical greeters/performers. We can  transport any specific style of entertainment from  further a field should you require it.

For Villa or home Venues you will be catered for by the wonderfully accomplished Katavothres team, who are well equipped to organise any style menu from 2 – 500 guests. Cephalonia Concierge will provide the décor and waiting staff for all Villa /home venue events.
